  • About Holy Living Word Church

A church where those far from God can encounter His Spirit in a mighty way.

A church where laughter can be heard for blocks as God’s people are filled with the love of community.

A church where creativity is expressed in everything we do as men, women and children use their gifts to worship God.

A church where perfection isn’t the goal, but rather Christlikeness is developed.

A church where people don’t give up on people. There is no ditch deep enough that God can’t pull you out of.

A church where marriages flourish and families thrive.

A church where love, acceptance, correction, mercy, forgiveness and freedom are found that lead to redemption

The BIBLE is the Word of God.

God’s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, and we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is, “What does the Bible say?” We practice daily Bible reading and Bible study. The Bible is the basis for all we believe.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is used to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.” – 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)

“And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.” – 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NIV)

    SALVATION comes through Christ.

You must RECEIVE Jesus Christ as your savior to receive salvation in Him. God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God’s grace, not human effort, and must be received personally by repentance and faith. Those who confess Him as their Lord and Savior are saved, and considered members of God’s family. In the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.

“But to all who believed Him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12 (NIV)

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” – Romans 10:9-10
